Key findings

  • Replacing a conventional bed with TPMS adsorber/desorber structures raised daily water productivity 74 → 136 L/kg·m² and system efficiency 3.7% → 6.8% (~2×). Same adsorbent; geometry drove the gain.
  • Gains explicitly attributed to high surface-area-to-volume ratio sidestepping “high thermal contact resistance and limited thermal conductivity” — transport limits, not sorbent equilibrium.
  • SCP by topology: gyroid 379.3, diamond 393.6, IWP 396.9, lidinoid 401.6 W/kg (+12.4% vs fin-based).
