  • Two-bed silica-gel/water lab chiller with desalination; rated 1.10 kW evaporator (12/7 C chilled), 2.00 kW condenser.
  • Raising driving hot water 55->85 C: COP 0.35->0.5, SCP 27->~160 W/kg (cooling, no desal).
  • 4-phase cycle with dedicated heat-recovery phase plus cycle-time optimization.
  • Cycle-time tradeoff: longer cycle raises COP but lowers distillate. Best balance 450 s; highest COP 700 s.
  • Max COP ~0.64 (desal, 700 s, chilled 25/cooling 30/hot 80 C); min 0.32.
  • Distillate up to 2.32 kg/h (450 s); quality 0.07 mS/cm from ~40 mS/cm feed (distilled-water grade).
  • Adsorption desalination electricity <1.5 kWh/m3, water cost $0.2/m3, TDS <10 ppm (vs SWRO 3-4 kWh/m3).
