Construction of an innovative adsorbent bed configuration — sorbent-glue selection (Parts 1 & 2)

Key findings
- 0.33 mm coating -> SCP 456 W/kg, VSCP 90 kW/m3; vs finned-tube loose 1.4-2.4 mm pellets -> SCP 130 W/kg, VSCP 60 kW/m3 (coating ~3.5x gravimetric SCP).
- BUT counterexample: in another config the coating’s VOLUMETRIC power was LOWER (VSCP 93 vs 212 kW/m3 for granular) — coated beds don’t universally win; granular can dominate on volumetric power.
- Adding 20% graphite-flake additive to a coated bed -> +65% SCP and +17% COP.
- Introduces the sorbent-glue/binder selection problem (a manufacturing barrier).
