  • “Stratisorp” cycle couples ONE adsorber to a well-insulated stratified thermal-storage tank; heat released during adsorption is stored by temperature/height and reused for desorption -> high internal heat recovery with a single adsorber (vs complex multi-adsorber cycles), enabling low driving-temperature differences.
  • Working pair water-zeolite Li-Y (RUB04); thermal oil storage medium; driving 200 C.
  • Heating COP 1.98 at 5.4 kW (sink 34 C, source 8 C), can exceed 2.0.
  • Seasonal COP (SCOP) 2.09 over five VDI 4650 load points.
  • Second-law: dominant driving-temperature-difference irreversibility strongly reduced vs optimally-switched two-adsorber cycle.
  • Sensitivity: 2x adsorber U -> +0.1 COP; halving thermal mass -> +0.1 COP; storage >300 kg no further gain.
